Hi ya'll! Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost here??? Our Thanksgiving shopping list is made - I am beyond excited! I don't know what it is about it, but I always end up cooking a TON of food for Thanksgiving. Tis the season!
My little sister had her baby last week. He is such a cutie! I can remember holding my sister when she was a newborn, so you can imagine how crazy it felt to be holding her baby. She's doing a great job, and so is her boyfriend. They have lots of supportive people in their lives and I know they're surrounded by love and encouragement :)
I went to Louisiana for her baby shower and came back to Texas in time to go for a job interview on Wednesday. As luck would have it, my sister's water broke that day! I literally went in for my interview, came home and loaded the Jeep and headed to LA! Fortunately, on the way, the office I'd interviewed called and offered me a job. I am so very grateful! I'd applied to 19 jobs (hello, economy!) and didn't have much feedback. I started work this Wednesday at a local ENT & allergy office and I'm loving it! Lots of training, but so far, so good. I'm still working with AmeriPlan, which is really awesome to be able to do! I just got a $250 bonus from them this week, so that'll come in handy for the holidays!!
Emma started daycare on Monday. She seems to really like it. Sometimes, she cries when I drop her off, but I wait in the hallway for her to stop - which is only a few seconds. When I pick her up, she's playing outside and having fun. Today, we're hanging out while our furnace gets fixed. She seems to be coming down with a slight cold, but other than that - I think she's happy to be spending a day with her mama :)
Monday, we're having Thanksgiving potluck at work...I'm thinking about making a few loaves of zucchini bread. I'll have to take pics and post the recipe when I'm done!
Until next time,
Live.Laugh.Love.
