Easy Spaghetti & Meatballs
This is the fastest, most delicious way to make spaghetti and meatballs without using frozen meatballs. I usually have enough ingredients on hand to make the meatballs - and that makes it cheaper to make them than to buy them frozen :)
Here's What You'll Need:
- 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (16 oz.)
- spaghetti noodles (I only used 1/4 of a 1 pound box)
- 1 lb. ground meat (I used ground beef)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1 medium egg
- 1/2 tsp ground oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp All-Spice
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- spaghetti noodles (I only used 1/4 of a 1 pound box)
- 1 lb. ground meat (I used ground beef)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1 medium egg
- 1/2 tsp ground oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp All-Spice
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Here's What You Do:
1) Combine ground meat, bread crumbs, egg, ground oregano, dried oregano, All Spice and black pepper. Heat large skillet with 2 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat.
2) Put spaghetti sauce into medium saucepan and heat over low heat.
3) Form ground meat mixture into 2 inch thick meatballs. Place around skillet with about 1/2inch between each, then put a few in the center.
4) Brown/slightly blacken on each side. You'll probably need to do 2 batches.
5) When you finish each batch, place them into the spaghetti sauce.
6) After both batches are done and in the spaghetti sauce, place excess drippings from skillet into stock pot with spaghetti noodles. Add water and boil as directed.
7) Let spaghetti sauce and meatballs simmer for about 20 minutes.
8) Serve over noodles & enjoy!
