Pros
Own your business; business becomes willable and sellable; residual income provides income growth; 100% home based if desired; membership benefits; tax benefits; huge support network; no inventory; no set schedule or minimum hours required
Cons
Commission based; talking on phone required; time and consistency needed to build business
Worthy?
Yes, if you are able to put in the time needed to build your business. Great for moms, but be prepared to schedule phone time around your family's schedule. Good opportunity for retirees or anyone seeking additional income.
Please note, I have been a rep with AmeriPlan® since July 2012. However, I was not paid nor do I expect compensation for this review.
My personal experience with this company has been good. I really like the idea of consumer driven healthcare. Also, the dental discounts are awesome, since the ACA has no dental provisions. The support from my team and the company has been impressive. I learned a ton about marketing from AP and the team I'm on.
As a full-time mom of two small children, it would be difficult for me to spend enough time to grow my membership base or sales team. I am still a rep, and while there haven't been recent additions to my business, I receive a monthly residual commission check.
If you're interested in working at home, and you'd like to own a pretty easy business, this one is worth a try. Plus, if you don't like it, there's a 30 day money back guarantee.
