Ok, you guys, here's the new blog I was talking about in the other blog...lol. It's just a place where I'll post a few excerpts from my deployment journal. Some of you might find it interesting. Thanks for letting me share! The first entry of the journal is from pre-deployment. Here's a piece -

...Just short of 4 1/2 years ago, I was 19 years old. I'd graduated from high school in the summer, lost my granddad in the fall, married the most wonderful guy in the world in the winter and moved away from home. My life would never be the same. It has been a wonderful adventure. Nearly one year ago (although not immediately aware), I became pregnant. A little over 3 months ago, my world changed once again when Emma was born.
It's incredible how my life revolves around her. Each day is new. There are new challenges each day, but also new gifts - smiles, noises and looks of affection.
Today was a good day. We just got back from Connecticut on Friday. We went to visit Caleb in port. It was Emma's first road trip. It was great to see Caleb, but the trip left me exhausted. Up until this afternoon, I was overcome with a complete lack of motivation. Emma got back in her normal routine before me, which is a pleasant surprise..."
