White Beans & Ham
Ok, guys - this might be the easiest recipe ever! You could add carrots or onion for added flavor and nutrition. Served over rice, this dish would be complimented by greens (spinach or collard, maybe?) and cornbread!
Ingredients:
- 1 pound dry white beans
- 1 pound pre-cooked cubed ham (or leftover ham, etc.)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 cups water
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp all-spice
1) Put all ingredients in a crock pot, mix well and set to high for 6 hours. You might need to add some water, but that can be done at the end.
