5 Minute Homemade Hot Chocolate for Two
Hot chocolate is a must-have for fall (and winter...and whenever...)!!!
This recipe is quick, easy and yummy! If you made homemade chocolate spice cupcakes, then you already have everything you need on hand - with the exception of milk...you'll need some milk!
Did I mention it's yummy?
A little Hershey's cocoa goes a long way - but you can use any kind of unsweetened cocoa powder for this recipe. Also, you can use more/less depending on your preference. Instead of cinnamon, you could add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract - it's delicious, but I'd used all my vanilla on the last recipe :)
Here's what you need:
- 5 tablespoons of water
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups milk (your preference: whole, 2%, organic - it all works!)
- dash of cinnamon (or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract)
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups milk (your preference: whole, 2%, organic - it all works!)
- dash of cinnamon (or 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract)
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar (or to taste)
It literally takes 5 minutes to make!
Here's what you do:
1) Whisk together water and cocoa powder over low heat.
...
2) Whisk in milk until heated, but do not boil.
...
3) Remove from heat. Stir in sugar and add a dash of cinnamon (or vanilla extract). Pour & enjoy!
Literally...5 minutes!
Until next time,
