It's been nearly a year since my last post...where does the time go??? I have so much to share with you all! This last year has been incredible. Deployment was incredibly difficult, but our wonderful family in Louisiana made such a huge impact. We were able to be with them every day and it was amazing. I am truly blessed to have such terrific in-laws - deployment would have been impossible without them!
Caleb returned home from his last deployment on Emma's first birthday - February 17. What a special day! The feeling of seeing him come off the boat was a combination of happiness, relief and just overall emotion of finally having him home...Coming soon: Excerpts of my deployment journal!
What's going on right now? Well, we are currently getting ready to move! Yep, that's right - my hubby is detaching from the Navy next month! We will be moving to Texas and boy are we ready!
And, as for the little one - Emma is the most beautiful, vibrant, exciting little person. She is so very smart and never ceases to impress me. I am so proud to be her mama! I think a lot of the "lab rat-ism" of the first year was overcoming that hard transition from being one person to two. Now, I just enjoy enjoying her and watching her grow.
I have lots to share with you all, and I will be back soon.
Until next time, live.laugh.love.
